You are welcomed to visit the LiveCastr website(s). Registration is not required if you simply want to view the Content on the website. Using LIVECASTR to LIVECAST yourself and to use the LIVECASTR Player requires registration. Upon completion of this registration you are considered to be a member of the LiveCastr service.

Information collected online is usually defined as being either anonymous or personally identifiable.

  • LiveCastr collects anonymous information, which refers to data that cannot be tied back to a specific individual. For example, LiveCastr collects some information each time a visitor comes to LiveCastr website(s) so we can improve the overall quality of the visitor's online experience. We may record information about your usage, such as when you use the following features from LiveCastr; the channels, groups, and favorites you subscribe to, the contacts you communicate with, the videos you watch, and the frequency and size of LiveCastr and data transfers, as well as information you display (including UI elements, settings, and other information). If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your account. We may use clear GIFs (a.k.a. "Web Beacons") in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. LIVECASTR collects the visitor's IP address, referral data (e.g., the Internet address of the last website visited by a user before clicking to a LiveCastr website(s), and browser and platform type (e.g., a Mozilla browser on a Windows platform). Any personal information or video content that you voluntarily disclose online (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, within your playback or profile pages, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others. LiveCastr collects this user information for purposes of service monitoring, service improvement, and targeted advertising.
  • Personally identifiable information refers to data that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name and address, which may be collected in addition to the anonymous data described above.

LIVECASTR collects personal information in the following ways:

  • LIVECASTR Member Registration: When you register to use LIVECASTR, you provide LIVECASTR with information such as your name, email address and mobile phone number. Users who complete the LiveCastr registration process can take full advantage of the many offerings from the LiveCastr service.

  • Correspondence: If you contact LiveCastr, we may keep a record of that correspondence. We use the information provided so that we may respond to the email.

LiveCastr reserves the right to collect certain information and store it in connection with your account. 2. Information gathering

In addition to the personally identifiable information that LiveCastr actively collects when you register, we also collect anonymous information.

A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of your computer so that the site administrator may identify your computer and passively track its activities on the website. This unique number identifies your web browser to our computer system whenever you visit LiveCastr. A cookie will not allow a website to learn any personally identifiable information (such as your real name and address) that you have not otherwise disclosed.

Cookies allow LiveCastr to automatically remember your web browser when you visit the LiveCastr website(s). In order to improve your user experience, LiveCastr generally uses cookies to:

  • Allow us to deliver products and services more efficiently. By storing certain registration and preference information on cookies or associating cookies with registration, preference or profile information stored on our computers, we can deliver products and services that use such information more quickly and efficiently for more users.
  • Prevent others from using your account. Cookies from LiveCastr help us efficiently determine that only one user is logged on under the same member name at a time.
  • Measure statistics such as audience size and traffic patterns. This information is only collected in aggregate form and will not be linked to your personally identifiable information.
  • Display advertisements. Cookies let us know whether a web browser has seen a particular advertisement (so we can show you a variety of material) and count the number of advertisements displayed to a particular browser. We also use cookies to customize the advertising you see based on non-personally identifiable demographic information that you provide when you register. Third-party advertising networks for LiveCastr may issue cookies on the LiveCastr web sites and other sites when serving advertisements.

The use of cookies is an industry standard, and they are currently used on most major web sites. It is possible to adjust your web browser preferences to alert you when a cookie is sent to your hard drive, or to refuse cookies altogether. While LiveCastr does not require you to use cookies, keep in mind that certain sites and services will not function properly if you set your browser to refuse all cookies.

Without cookies it is difficult for LiveCastr to know which services have a larger audience than others. Tracking audience size helps us to better understand when to launch new services and enhance the current offerings.

  • LiveCastr uses the information collected (both anonymous and personal) to personalize and enhance the content you see on the LiveCastr website(s).
LiveCastr uses the aggregated data to perform statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our registered users and visitors, to measure user demographics and interests, and to analyze how and where best to use our resources. Please note that we may share this aggregate information with third-party companies.
  • LiveCastr collects anonymous data and shares it with third-party advertisers in an aggregate form. We will disclose to those advertisers the numbers of LiveCastr users who have certain demographic characteristics and the number of those people who have seen and "clicked" on a particular display. No personally identifiable information will be disclosed as part of this process.

5. Third-party advertisers and links to other Sites

LiveCastr allows other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements at the LiveCastr website(s). They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content you see.
LiveCastr does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. However, please note that if an advertiser asks LiveCastr to show an advertisement to a certain audience (for example, men ages 18-34) or audience segment (for example, men ages 18-24 who have viewed certain channels of content) and you respond to that advertisement, the advertiser or ad-server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. The advertiser may also use information regarding your use of the LiveCastr service, such as the number of times you viewed an ad (but not any personally identifiable information), to determine which ads to deliver to you.
We advice you to consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers or ad networks (see links below) for more information on their practices and for instructions on how to opt-out of certain practices. LiveCastr?s privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, such other advertisers or web sites.
